Description
At Häverö prästäng, along the Roslagen coast, you'll find beautiful wildflower meadows. In the early spring, the forest floor shimmers with blue and white Anemone flowers. Later in the season you'll see Elder-flowered Orchid, in addition to other special wildflowers. Birdsong can be heard throughout the spring and summer.
These meadows are mowed using traditional methods which preserve wildflower diversity. Häverö prästäng is one of the few large meadows in the county that are still maintained this way. Easily walkable paths guide you down to the sea where you can take a swim. Rest areas can also be found along the trails.
Cows graze the meadows in the summertime. You are welcome to walk in the meadows, but do take care around the animals. Do not disturb them and do not approach a cow with a calf. Always keep your dog on a leash.
