Description

Hästholmen is a small nature reserve consisting of the eastern part of the island of Hästholmen and several other small islands.

Please note that Liljekonvaljholmen and nearby islands are also a bird sanctuary: Landing is not allowed during certain times of the year.

There are no outdoor recreation facilities in the reserve, except for information signs.

Directions

Hästholmen is located near Nämdö in the south-eastern part of Värmdö municipality. The easiest way to get here is by boat.

Regulations

To protect the Hästholmen nature reserve, there are rules all visitors must follow.

In the reserve it is forbidden to:

  • destroy or damage solid natural objects
  • dig up flowers and damage ground vegetation
  • have an unleashed dog
  • deliberately disturb wildlife
  • make fires
  • camp in the same place for more than 24 hours without the landowner's permission
  • use musical instruments, music equipment or similar in a disruptive manner.
