Description

The reserve consists of two peninsulas with a mixture of open fields, wooded areas and flowering meadows. The northern peninsula is dominated by Häringe Castle with grand avenues and fields. North of the castle is Lake Bobäcken with its rich bird life. South of the castle, there are coniferous forests, rich in mushrooms and berries. On the southern peninsula is Hammersta farm with oak forests and giant oaks in the fields. The reserve also has four burial grounds, three ancient castles and a cave. Perfect for a bike excursion.

Regulations

To protect Häringe-Hammersta nature reserve, there are rules you must follow.

In the reserve it is forbidden to:

  1. destroy or damage rock, soil or stone by drilling, hacking, blasting, carving, digging, painting or similar
  2. break branches, fell or otherwise damage living or dead trees and shrubs or damage vegetation in general by digging up plants such as rice, herbs, mosses or lichens or by removing woody fungi
  3. disturbing wildlife (for example, by climbing nest trees, trapping or killing mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians)
  4. trapping and collecting invertebrates
  5. bringing an unleashed dog
  6. putting up a board, poster, billboard, sign or making an inscription
  7. camping or anchoring a boat for more than two consecutive days
  8. set up a caravan or moor a boat
  9. drive a snowmobile on land
  10. make fires other than in designated places
  11. operate a boat or other craft on Bobäcken, Maren and Muskån
  12. land with an aircraft.
  13. Without the permission of the County Administrative Board, it is forbidden to: ride or drive a horse with a carriage or similar. The permit can be given on bridleways and bridle paths marked on a map attached to the decision, according to instructions in the established management plan.
