The Gälnan Nature Reserve includes the southern part of Grönskären and the small islands of Mjölingsören and Bergskäret.
On Mjölingsören, you’ll find a dry meadow with a few standing dead trees. The island also features an alder swamp and a small area of rocky pine forest.
Bergskäret has sparse deciduous woodland with a few pine trees. Grönskären is characterized by flat rock slabs, with sandy seabed just offshore to the west. The island is covered by pine heath/shore pine forest, with an increasing presence of deciduous trees toward the south.
