Erstavik

Erstavik is one of the few large estates near Stockholm that has been preserved. Old crofts and open fields show that people have farmed the land for centuries. Nacka municipality and the owner of Erstavik work together to ensure that nature is accessible to the public. The forest is varied and exciting. There are rocky areas with pine and heather, dense spruce forests, swamp forests and sandy ridges. Lakes and small lakes in the forest sparkle. Many people have discovered the well-kept hiking trails through the area: the first stages of the Sörmland Trail, the Green, Blue and White Trails. At Erstaviken and Strålsjön there are organized baths. In some places there are signs that tell more about the history and nature.
