Description
At the Åttesta nature reserve, you'll find a coniferous forest with high biodiversity. If you're lucky, you might even see a capercaillie.
There are plenty of dead trees here in various stages of decay and areas with limestone-rich soils, which creates ideal conditions for numerous rare plants, mosses and fungi. Here and there, you'll see old pines with deeply furrowed bark and spruces richly draped in hanging lichens.
The reserve has no visitor facilities.
