Spångens Gästgivaregård Ljungbyhed, Klippan

Spången guest poison farm with restaurant, hotel and for conferences.

Spången is located by Rönne river, at a small crossing. Over 200 years ago, a marketplace grew up here, Spånga Torg. A natural meeting place where cattle, meat, pork and eggs were sold. People from near and far met here and the mail coach that ran between Klippan and Höör also passed through here.

At the marketplace, a tavern was built where buyers and sellers could seal and celebrate their deals. The Spången inn is known from 1846, when the tractor Pål Lundberg was responsible for the stove and accommodation.

After ten years, Spången was elevated to Gästgivaregård, and at the same time became a regular station for the postal service. Travelers stayed overnight, ate their fill and rested after their travels.
