Description

The trail runs 4 kilometers through the magical rift valley and further up on the southern plateau where it passes the viewpoints Lierna and Hjortsprånget on the way back to Skäralid.

Part of the trail (about 500 meters) is paved with rough stones. Includes 90 meters height difference where parts of the up / down walk have a "staircase" to get up / down more easily. The trail is a slightly more difficult hiking trail with steep ascents / descents. Generally not suitable for strollers, but the upper (plateau) part of Hjortsprångsrundan can be walked with a stroller, but you must then take another way up the mountain or drive up Serpentinvägen and park, for example, at Liagårdsparkeringen. Ask at the information desk in the nature center for details.

Hjortsprånget (also called Hjortakniben) is named after an old hunting method from the Stone Age, and is a special viewpoint.
