Varamobadet

The most famous bathing spot in Motala is Varamobaden, the Nordic region's longest lake bath with a half-mile long sandy beach! With one of Sweden's finest sandy beaches, walks, cafés and restaurants, it is a place that has something for everyone. The shallow, clean water is protected in a bay, often has onshore winds and is therefore quickly heated. In Varamon there is access to tennis and mini golf courses, plans for beach volleyball and football, playgrounds, guest houses, holiday villages, hostels and camping. It is also ideal for windsurfing and kayaking.
