Description
In the primeval forest-like reserve, you are met by hilly coniferous forest with mighty mountains and precipices. There are giant boulders, dead and fallen spruce trees and a narrow valley with mossy and blocky slopes that run down to the lake. A hiking trail facilitates the visit in the wild and somewhat difficult forest.

Go to Åby, drive to the center and drive north towards the old fire station. Follow the old Stockholm road about 3 kilometers to the toll road towards Mela on the left. There is an information sign about the reserve. Park and continue on Melavägen on foot. From the parking lot it is about 3 km to the reserve.

Jag hittade inte fram till Bärsjön, trots att jag följde skylten från grusvägen och sen markeringarna genom kalhygget och skogen. Jag kom efter ett tag till en rundslinga och trodde att jag var rätt som på kartan, men den gick aldrig ner till vattnet, och när jag jag kom tillbaka till dess början såg jag på telefonen att jag var närmare Brostugugölen än Bärsjön. Och jag såg ingen annan avtagsled någonstans längs vägen. Det blev en fin tur ändå, men det var inte Bärsjön.

Vad gäller kommunens vandringsled till Bärsjöskogens naturreservat kommer röjning och nya ledmarkeringar att göras under sommaren.
