Description

A small nature reserve next to Kvismaren. Stunningly beautiful in spring with bluebells, wood anemones and spring peas. Sörön is made up of moraine ridges. These rise out of the lower, flat clay deposits that dominate the plains in the Kvismar valley. Before the great lake lowering at the end of the 19th century, the moraine ridges were surrounded by marsh meadows that were flooded during the spring flood, and Sörön was then an "island" as the name suggests.

The reserve is part of Natura 2000, the EU's network of valuable nature sites.
