Rankemossen Marsh

The area is magnificent, and a verbal description does not do it justice. Best to let the place speak for itself! The marsh is out of the way, and requires a bit of hiking to reach it. Here the bell heather has one of its most easterly habitats, and sometimes kingfishers are seen in the area.

Recommendations

Binoculars, proper boots for hiking, and mosquito repellent is a good idea.

Access

The area is challenging; it requires a number of kilometres of hiking from either direction to get here. However, the seclusion is a big part of the area’s charm.
