Description

The nature reserve Torne-Furö lies in Skomakarfjärden bay and comprises the fairly large island of Torne-Furö and a small isle called Vassika. On Torne-Furö it is above all sparse pine forest that grows. Almost all over the island you find grey alder, rowan, willow and birch close to the shores. In the north and west, the beaches are sandy while in the south and north they are rockier. The area is 2.2 square kilometres in size. There is a ban on snowmobiling on the islands.
