Stor-Räbben is a barren island with characteristic nature resembling that of bare mountains. Here you find interesting heritage, exciting birdlife, many different plants and plenty of recreational facilities. The whole area is 101.4 square kilometres in size and there is a ban on snowmobiling on the islands.

Regulations

All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:

  • camping
  • hike
  • make a fire, but only in the designated area on Stor-Räbben island
  • pick berries and edible mushrooms
  • fishing in accordance with applicable laws

It is not allowed to:

  • drive snowmobiles on the islands except along the snowmobile trail on Mellerstön.
  • drive jet skis
  • damage plant and animal life.
