Description
On the south slope of the mountain, the ground is dry and rocky. The pine forest has grown after a fire in the 19th century. There are also many aspen trees here. On fallen, dead pine trunks strives the rare longhorn beetle tragosoma depsarium. On the east side of the mountain, the forest is more virgin with 30 metre spruce and land rich in herbaceous plants. The whole area is 0.8 square kilometres in size.

Communications
The nature reserve lies about five kilometres north of Niemisel, in Boden Municipality. Logging roads pass close to the northern and southern limits. Arriving from the south you need to walk 500 metres from the road as far as the nature reserve.
Directions
Naturreservatet ligger cirka 5 kilometer norr om Niemisel. Lämpligaste tillfartsvägen till reservatet från allmän väg är söderifrån, via Niemisel. Det finns ingen väg som går ända fram till området men det finns några skogsbilvägar som går i närheten både till den norra och södra delen.
Regulations
Alla föreskrifter finns i reservatsbeslutet. Det är tillåtet att:
- tälta
- vandra
- göra upp eld, kom ihåg att ta med egen ved!
- plocka bär och matsvamp
- köra snöskoter på väl snötäckt mark
- fiska och jaga i enlighet med gällande lagar
Det är inte tillåtet att skada växt- och djurliv. Tänk på allemansrätten och var rädd om naturen!
