Description
Renskinnskölen is a till-capped hill in the Råne river valley. Here you find primary forest with an abundance of old, thick-growth aspen and birch. There are also plenty of old pines and spruce, some of which have reached the impressive age of 400 years. Many red listed species have been discovered in the area, for example the polypores skeletocutis odora and fomitopsis rosea. The area is 1.1 square kilometres in size.

Communications
The nature reserve lies about 20 kilometres north of Boden. Logging roads between Sörbyn and Ljuså continue almost all the way to the south side of the reserve. There is a parking space at the interpretive board.
