Description
Puolva is a so-called dead-ice area. Large blocks of ice remained here after the most recent ice age and in melting created hollows where today we have little lakes. The tarns and mires were surrounded by hills and moraine ridges. There are in the area ancient remains in the form of dwelling pits and a hearth in the area.
