Piatis is an easily accessible place to visit, situated 15 kilometres from Jokkmokk city. There are no trails in the area. During autumn there are lots of mushroom on the dry pine-forest moors. The area is 2.3 square kilometres large.

From road 97, take south near Mattisudden village.

The nature reserve is located 13 kilometers southeast of Jokkmokk. From road 97, turn south at "Mattisgården" in the village of Mattisudden, 7 kilometers east of Jokkmokk. After about five kilometers on forest roads you reach Piatis. The forest road may be closed with a barrier during the snowmelt period.

The nature reserve is located about 13 kilometers southeast of Jokkmokk. From road 97, turn south at "Mattisgården" in the village of Mattisudden, about 7 kilometers east of Jokkmokk. After 5 kilometers of forest road you will arrive at the reserve.
