Description

Paulajåkkå is an elongated area of pine forests in the north-western part of Arvidsjaur Municipality. The reserve is rich in small lakes, dispersed around Paulajåkkå stream. Here you find a great deal of old pines, some of which have lived here for 500 years. There are several ancient Sámi dwelling sites. Paulajåkkå nature reserve is 10.5 square kilometres in size.

Paulajåkkå lies about 20 kilometres northwest of Moskosel, in the north-western part of Arvidsjaur Municipality. From Moskosel a road leads heading westwards past Suddesjaur, where you turn northwestwards. Just before Norrstrand there is a turning to the right which takes you across the reserve.
