Description

A few kilometers north-west of Övertorneå lies the mountain Pahta-Pirttivaara. Here the forest has been left untouched and the trees have become old. Through the sparse pine forest on the hillsides you have a magnificent view of the Tornedalen landscape. There are no roads to the reserve, but it can be reached by a short walk from the nearby logging road. The area is 0.3 square kilometres.
