Description
The nature reserve Miesvaara is a forested mountain with an extensive panorama. Miesvaara means ”man mountain”. On your way to the summit you can take a break by one of the beautiful small lakes. The area is 4.1 square kilometres in size.

Communications
A suitable route to the reserve is from the Kalix road southeast of the reserve. Via road 865 turn off towards the nature reserve, signposted Paulujärvi halfway between the Kalix river and Kääntöjärvi. Follow the road and keep left after about 7 kilometres, continue almost another 2 kilometres and then you have a large gravel area on the left way you can park the car.

Regulations
All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- camping
- hiking
- make a fire, with loose branches and twigs
- picking berries and edible mushrooms
- driving snowmobiles on snow-covered ground
- fishing and hunting in accordance with the laws in force
