Kuokkavaara is a scenic piece of ancient forest landscape. It is a very hilly area which has been formed after one or more forest fires around the mid 19th century. Lake Kuokkajärvi lies at the centre and offers excellent fishing. The area is 1.5 square kilometres in size.
