Description
Hornavan-Sädvajaure is a huge area on the montane rim with extensive coniferous forests, mountain birch forests, mires and watercourses. On the mountain slopes we encounter verdant meadow birch forest with tall-growth herbaceous plants such as Wolf's Bane, Globeflower, Alpine Blue Sow-Thistle, Mezereon, Red Baneberry and Garden Angelica. The reserve lies about 20 kilometres northwest of Arjeplog. Road 95 passes the western part of the reserve. The King’s Trail passes at Jäckvik. The eastern part the reserve is reached via a turning east of Arjeplog, past Galtispuoda, after which you turn west towards Örnvik.
