Hästholmen is a low, elongated peninsula which in the southern part joins Svartholmen on Sandön island. This unbuilt-up area is covered by spruce and birch forest and has high natural values. The whole area is 0.3 square kilometres and there is a ban on snowmobiling on the land area.
