Halsören is a low-lying island covered by spruce forest. On the western part of the island there is a stand of juniper bushes on shingles. On the island there are also some fishermen's cottages and remains from fishing in times past. The area is 0.4 square kilometres, of which 0.1 is land. There is a ban on snowmobiling on the land area.
