Description

In Stenbrohult's nature reserve there are meadows and pastures, former fields, deciduous forest, other deciduous forest and coniferous forest. The entire area is part of Lake Möckeln's catchment area which is part of the Helge river.

In Stenbrohult there are many old and coarse deciduous trees where several unusual lichens grow and in old beeches and oaks endangered wood insects live. The area offers a rich meadow flora with, for example, the Virgin Mary's keys, sun-turned and meadowsweet. In meadows and older arable land, there are many species of endangered wild bees. The entire Möckeln area also has a very rich bird life and in Stenbrohult, for example, crows and lesser woodpeckers thrive. Stenbrohult borders in the north directly to the cultural reserve Råshult with its valuable agricultural landscape and the path in the nature reserve connects directly to the cultural reserve's paths.
