Lake Rottnen

Rottnen is one of the largest lakes in the area and touches the municipalities of Växjö, Lessebo and Tingsryd. The sheer variety of this lake and its surroundings is exciting and includes everything from pine-covered capes and islands to inlet and windy skerries. In several locations, the shores have bilberries and lingonberry sprigs. Birds here include black-throated divers, read-breasted mergansers and goosanders, ospreys and great black-backed gulls. Fishing is good, and you may even catch zander, perch and pike.
