Lake Möckeln is a large lake and here canoeists should be aware that the wind can increase suddenly and sometimes very strongly. Plan your route according to prevailing conditions and feel free to follow the shoreline on the side of the lake where the wind comes from. As the wind usually comes from the southwest, the blue line of the canoe trail is drawn to follow the shoreline in the greatest possible protection from southwest winds. If the north-easterly wind blows, the route should therefore be changed drastically to facilitate the best possible journey.
