Hängasjöns fish conservation area

Hängasjön is located on the border between Älmhult and Ljungby. The lake is rich in species and you can for example find bass, silver bream, carp bream and blue bream.

A boat ramp is situated in the north end of the lake.

The right of public access (allemansrätten) applies both on land and water but does not cover fishing. For fishing in Hängasjön you need a permit (fiskekort), which you can buy online through www.ifiske.se or at the tourist information office in the Älmhult municipal hall.

In some waters there are areas which are excluded from fishing, either temporary or permanently. Always make sure to look up what rules apply to the specific area you are interested in.
