The Gallow cliffs

"Galgahallarna", the Gallow cliffs, is one of ten legendary sites in Älmhult municipality suitable for a stop during an excursion in the area. From the asphalt road you can cycle a bit more, but the last bit you have to walk to get to this place.

The story goes that: "During the Middle Ages, the cruel bailiff Trotte executed people at Galgahallarna. They had to hang in the gap between the huge boulders until they died. Large stones were placed on their arms so that they did not fall down."
