Djurle träsk

A decade or so ago, Djurle swamp was created. Bird life responded quickly to the new wetland. In early summer, the warbler's trills sound. Whooper swans, red kites and brown harriers are often seen. Sometimes great horned owls are heard from the surroundings. There are also regular sightings of rarities such as the double snipe and the river warbler. During spring and fall, Djurle Swamp is visited by ducks, waders and small birds. There is a fine bird tower at the wetland, which can be reached via a footpath from nearby Barnsjön.
