Description

Delary Brukspark is an open-air museum that showcases Delary’s 250-year long industrial era, from the founding of Ry Järnbruk in 1730 to the closure of the Delary sulfate factory in 1981.

The museum has information boards (in Swedish) where visitors can follow the industry’s development in chronological order from start to closure. Additionally, there is a steam locomotive from the 1880s that was manufactured in the factory’s own mechanical workshop, a complete kollergang where the pulp was ground to improve quality, and an old digester from the 1880s where wood chips were cooked into pulp.
