Description

The church is built of stone and consists of a rectangular nave with a slightly narrower rounded chancel to the east. The chancel is separated from the nave by an archway. To the north is the sacristy and to the west is the church tower. Entrances are located to the west and in the middle of the south side. The nave has a gable roof covered with single-paned red tiles. The rounded chancel is covered with red-painted sheet metal. The tower roof with a spire is clad in copper. The lantern is clad in red-painted smooth paneling and has a lower platform with a clock and white corner moldings.

The current church building was constructed between 1860 and 1863, just west of the old church, and was consecrated in 1865 by Bishop Henrik Gustaf Hultman. In 1930, the church received its tiled roof and new cladding on the chancel and tower roof. Previously, the roof was covered with shingles. During the 1940s, the church underwent a thorough and careful renovation. The floors were redone, and the benches were rebuilt and widened. By removing two rows of benches, the chancel could be made larger. The porch and gallery were provided with new stairs.
