The purpose of the nature reserve is to promote exercise, outdoor life and experience values and the high natural values. Natural environments associated with Helgasjön, deciduous forests and herb-rich pastures that harbor old trees and dead wood will be cared for, preserved and restored in a larger coherent area, which strengthens biodiversity as well as stimulates people's movement in these natural environments.

C. Regulations for the public pursuant to Chapter 7, Section 30 of the Environmental Code on the right to travel and stay within the reserve and on order in general within the area

In addition to prohibitions and regulations in other legislation, it is prohibited to;

-damage natural objects, e.g. by digging, drilling, hacking or painting

-felling, cutting, pulling up, picking or otherwise damaging living or dead trees, shrubs, plants, fungi, mosses or lichens. Note: Berries, herbs and terrestrial edible fungi may be picked for domestic use.

-collect insects, shells, worms or other animals without the approval of the reserve manager

-drive or park a motorized vehicle or trailer other than on the designated road and parking area

-stay overnight without the approval of the reserve manager, except in constructed shelters

-make fires other than in designated, prepared fireplaces

-disturbing wildlife by, for example, approaching a nesting site

-anchoring, mooring or mooring boats (or other vessels) for more than 24 hours

In addition to the above regulations, other legislation applies, including the Environmental Code, hunting legislation, the Off-Road Vehicles Act and the Cultural Heritage Act.
