Description
The tour goes north to Gullringen and the nose only on paved, but still roads with very little traffic. Cycle "gamla Linköpingsvägen" past Södra and Norra Fågelhem to Södra Vi. Nice views of Krön just before Södra Fågelhem and through Norra Fågelhem.
Go through Södra Vi and cross highway 23/34 below Skärstad and take the road towards Slitshult and then towards Låxbo. Really nice views here over the fields and not least the journey through the village. Once in Gullringen, it may be time for swimming and/or coffee. Do not miss Kalmar County's highest waterfall at the exit from Gullringen, on the left side just before the sports ground Gullemon.
Shortly after the exit, cycle through the magnificent avenue (gravel road) all the way down to Ålhult manor. Take it easy when you cross highway 23/34 at Stång. Cycle over Stångån and take it easy up to Dabbetorp (uphill). Then it is easy to cycle most of the way back to Vimmerby via Sund and Vennebjörke.
