In 1856, Carl Olof Nordenberg came to Vena and in Äspebäcken he built a cottage with outbuildings and a smithy.
The cottage has been renovated by Vena Hembygdsförening and it was used in the filming of the movie "Soldier with broken rifle" in 1977.
