Description

Experience Sven Petter Persson's life work in Djursdala village. The stone kingdom on the Björkesnäs estate is located on old cultural land. On the land of the village and neighboring farms there are burial grounds and smelting furnaces from the Iron Age and the mighty Bronze Age cairn Drakerör.

It took Sven Petter a lifetime to clear and start cultivating the hectare-sized area at Björkenäs in the early 1800s. The neat stone wall surrounding the area was to protect against frost, but as the arable land was poor, the land was left and the forest began to grow back into the cleared area.

Today, Stenriket is preserved as a memory of Småland's stubbornness and hard work.
