Rälla strandväg - mötet mellan tallskog, kust och majestätiska ekar

Enjoy varied views where pine forest, coast and majestic oaks meet. Winding paths run along the coastal road, up on the headland and through beautiful pine forest. Follow the eastern part of the trail along the shore and look out over the treetops and the shimmering strait. The tall trunks of the pine forest are reminiscent of a majestic palace. On warm days in spring, summer and fall, you can smell the aromatic scent of pine needles. The trail offers many alternative paths, which means that the route can be divided up and adapted to the shape of the day and the desired altitude difference.

In the southern part of the trail you will find Stora Rör where Mormors stenugnsbageri & kaffestuga offers its famous cinnamon and cardamom buns. Also Mormors Bistro with local elements from Öland's fantastic farms where vegan & vegetarian options are a matter of course. There is also Hökarboden which, in addition to a regular service shop range, offers a varied range of Öland products and their grilled Öland sausages. At the eastern starting point in Rälla you will find an ICA store, adjacent to the northern tip of the trail is Ekerums Camping with a summer open grocery store and beach restaurant.

Tips: Along the trail there are many nice spots, perfect to enjoy a coffee break. Buy some stone-baked buns from Grandma's in Stora Rör, spread out the blanket and sit down. Don't forget to bring your swimwear for a refreshing dip along the beach path! Start or end the tour with a tasty visit to one of the trail's surrounding restaurants.
