Melsjön

Melsjön is a small shallow lake and the water is an extension of Gårdvedaån. It is located north of Lake Flaten west of Målilla and is part of Flatens FVO. The lake is shallow and has the character of a plain lake with dense reeds in the form of reeds and rushes. On the eastern side, pine dominates on the sandy soil, while on the southern side, pine and willow bushes grow and the ground is more blocky. As the shores are flat, the ground is often flooded at high tide, which benefits the fish in the lake.
