Description
Adjacent to the drained Lenstadsmossen marsh in the Mittlandsskogen forest are the remains of Lenstad Castle. From a defense point of view, the castle was well situated with wetlands on three sides. Today the castle is very much destroyed and has been cultivated. It has an irregular shape and there were two gates, one to the southwest and one to the northeast.
A bronze ring dated to the 4th century AD has been found in the castle.
