This is a wall that has puzzled many alvar walkers. It is a short, rather high wall with a seemingly completely unjustified location. The wall was built around 1900 and was probably used by the Swedish Mapping Authority's cartographers for various measurements. Because of the unobstructed view, Stora Alvaret was one of the first areas in Sweden to be measured and given triangle points.
