Description
The short 1.2 km trail is a great choice for families with children and all other adventure seekers!
The trail starts from the village and leads down the old lane. You turn off and walk through a hazel grove and soon you arrive at the small stream that the bridge takes you over. On the way into the forest you can test your balance on a long tree trunk. Once inside the forest you will find a mixture of deciduous and coniferous trees, some so old that you could call them living deadwood, as many other organisms feed on them.
When it gets light between the trees, you go through the gate and into the pasture. In June, the orchid Virgin Mary's Keys blooms here and in the June evening you can smell the scent of Night Violet. Soon you will reach the centuries-old oak tree, which we call "Grandma's Oak". Now you can sit down with the flat stone as a table and unpack your lunch. One adventurous part of your hike remains, namely the cave formed between a vertical rock wall and a giant boulder. The area around the cave is a key biotope, protected because of its rare mosses and lichens. Below, among hazel, aspen and oak, in May, the water lily grows, an unusual plant that lacks chlorophyll and parasitizes on hazel.
Now you have to walk through pastures with large and old deciduous trees mixed with junipers. Maybe you'll meet the sheep here! The gate through the sheep fence takes you into the next pasture and soon you are back in the village!
