Videskogen footpath

On the outskirts of Värnamo population centre, just a stone’s throw from
Osudden, is Videskogen, which consists mainly of the deciduous goat willow
tree. An accessible wooden walkway stretches for about 2 km through the lush
forest and wetland of Videskogen.

There are benches and coffee tables along the walkway. Videskogen is
also rich in various bird species, including the kingfisher, western marsh
harrier, common reed bunting and lesser spotted woodpecker. How many birdhouses
can you see along the walkway?

The
footpath through Videskogen connects with the Osuddenrundan Round at either
end. A 600-metre walkway runs from Videskogen footpath to the headland where
the river Lagan flows into Lake Vidöstern. On the headland there is a nice
barbecue area with benches to sit on.
