Description

Ljusseveka Mill was built in the late 1890s. Operations ceased in the middle of the 20th century. Today, the site is a scenic environment characterised by the rushing water of River Lagan and the mill foundations, which remain as a cultural site.

The mill foundations consist of cut stones and the remains of a wheel pit. West of the mill foundations are the stone foundations of a bridge that once spanned River Lagan.

There is now a floating jetty next to the rapids. It is a lovely place for a picnic and a good spot from which to fish. It is also possible to launch and retrieve canoes there.
