Frieberg has a long education behind her. She studied at the Otte Sköld School
of Painting, the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and the Stockholm Academy of Fine
Arts. Her sculptures were often of women and playing children, in terracotta,
wood or bronze. They are almost always people, down to earth and ‘ordinary’,
like the herring women with their wheelbarrows who she saw down by the harbour
as a child, or a mother with her small child.

‘Treklang’ (Triad) shows
three girls dancing with fluttering skirts, another favourite motif. The bronze
sculpture stood for many years outside the Gläntan day centre in Värnamo, until
2013 when the centre was moved. ‘Treklang’ was purchased by the Municipality of
Värnamo in 1978.
