Artwork: Kuben

The three sculptures,
‘Klotet’ (the Sphere), ‘Tetraeden’ (the Tetrahedron) and ‘Kuben’ (the Cube) by
Pål Svensson are located at Borbackaskolan School in Bor.

Pål Svensson’s art is
characterised by a frame and content: a rough natural exterior and polished
interior that attracts all the attention. The exterior is of lesser importance;
it is the interior that counts. One interpretation is that the exterior
represents nature, and the interior represents culture.

‘Kuben’ represents
the three-dimensional square (the third of the three basic shapes) and it is
stable. Purchased by the Municipality of Värnamo in 1997.
