Description

Sävsjö Häradsväg between Vallsjö and Norra Ljunga is part of the history of Njudung.

The road stretch of just under 20 kilometres showcases Småland at its very best. The route passes lakes, forests, fields and meadows. Halfway along the road lies the town of Sävsjö, which grew as a railway community in the late 18th century when the railway line was built from southern to northern Sweden.

Along the road you will pass a number of interesting sites, such as Eksjöhovgård, Komstad, 11th‑century churches and rune stones, to name just a few examples. The echoes of history blend with new visitor attractions and tourism businesses. Here you can find a list of sights and points of interest along the route.
