Description

The
grave field in Kärda is 75 x 70 metres and consists of about 45 ancient
remains, including 35 burial mounds and about 10 stone circles. The mounds are 4–9
metres in diameter and 0.41.6 metres high. One-third of the
mounds have a partial or complete trenches dug around their perimeters. The
round stone monuments are 3–12 metres in diameter and 0.1–0.8 metres high. Most
of the graves are covered with peat.

Regulations

The grave field is an ancient monument and
is covered by the Historic Environment Act. Chapter 2 § 6. It is forbidden to
disturb, remove, excavate, cover or damage, by building, planting or other
means, an ancient monument without a licence under the following provision
2013:548.
