Description
The Iron Age cemetery
measures 125 x 80 metres and spans both sides of the road. The cemetery
consists of 42 graves, including 40 mounds and two standing stones. One of the
stones is now lying down.
The mounds are
between 5 and 13 metres in diameter and are 0.3-2 metres high. About 30 of the
mounds have a full or partial ditch around the edge, 0.5-1.5 metres wide and
0.1-0.3 metres deep. Several of the mounds have pits in the middle or to the
sides.

The cemetery spans both sides of road 127, Fryele community.
Regulations
The grave field is an ancient remains and is protected by the Cultural Environment Act. Chapter 2, § 6. It is forbidden to disturb, remove, excavate, cover or through building, planting or otherwise alter or damage ancient remains without a licence under this chapter. Act (2013:548).
