Bolaskogen Nature Park

Experience large parts of the world through trees and plants at
Bolaskogen Nature Park. When hurricane Gudrun swept through Bolaskogen, a
partly new landscape was created. Just west of Gröndalsskolan, cycleways and
small footpaths wind their way through the narrow corridors of vegetation in
the town district.

Today, spruce and birch trees have been joined by hundreds of foreign
tree species, planted to enhance the experience values of the site.

At
the Bola dam, which is the centrepiece of the area and a popular meeting place
for the town’s residents, you can find North Japanese hill cherry, black pine, yellow
azalea, blue honeysuckle and many other species. The area’s narrow nature trail
leads out into the wider area and features paths, bridges and unique exotic
plants.
